In 2006, Altai-koks saved 4.4 million rubles by implementing the innovative proposals of it employees.
The launch of the fifth coke oven gave the company the opportunity to manufacture new type of products - 80-mm grade foundry coal coke. This fraction is highly desirable in the market and is used for producing high-tech heat-insulation materials.
Altai-koks began implementing the Quality Management System in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 International Standard. The international certificate will increase the company's reputation in the international market and investment appeal of the enterprise.
Within 12 months of 2006, the company produced 2.9 million tonnes of 6% moisture coke (+8.7% compared to the same figure for 2005), 137.600 tonnes of tar (+ 13.6 %), 31.900 tonnes of crude benzene (- 11.6 %), 67.200 tonnes of ammonium sulphate (+ 3.4 %) and 67.100 tonnes of coal-tar pitch (- 1.9 %).
The two-thousandth tonne of coke was produced since the new unique plant - coke oven No 5 - had been put into operation at Altai-koks in October last year.
