Fifth coke oven produced its 200.000th tonne of coke
The two-thousandth tonne of coke was produced since the new unique plant - coke oven No 5 - had been put into operation at Altai-koks in October last year.
The system debugging and retrofitting of certain units and mechanisms are currently in progress on the coke ovens of CO No 5. A new equipment - dustless coke discharge plant for dust-gas-air recovery and cleaning - has been put into operation as part of coke oven No 5. The plant is equipped with bag filters, which provide more than 90% purification. CO No 5 is planned to achieve the design performance in April, 2007.
Achievement by the plant of the designed performance levels will allow Altai-koks to provide an annual output of 5 million tonnes of 6% moisture coke and become a leader in the industry.
