Altai-Koks streamlines its transport infrastructure management
A new automated car movement and loading monitoring system was installed in the rail road shop of Altai-Koks. It improves the efficiency of logistics saving over 4.5 million rubles annually.
The automated monitoring system reads and recognized the numbers of all railcars with raw material or finished product on Altai-Koks tracks and monitors the shipped weight of the product. All the information on the rolling stock is automatically transferred to the computer in real time while a special software generates a weighing log. This greatly facilitates the work of receiving inspectors who had to be near the weighing platform at all times and manually rewrite the car numbers.
The railway system of Altai-Koks includes over 90 km of tracks, about 300 turnouts, 150 units of special purpose rolling stock and machinery. Altai-Koks accounts for about 40% in the total volume of cargo transportation in Altai Territorial Administration of the West-Siberian Railway.
